Hi, I’m Jessica, Jess to most of my close friends and family. Chris and I put these self-titled pages together in hopes of providing some very general “get-to-know-you” information for our guests who may want to find out a little more about each of us as individuals. So, here goes nothing…

I grew up in Littleton, Colorado, a suburb of Denver. For some reason, about three years ago, they decided to change the name of the city to Centennial, so I guess that means I’m technically from Centennial, Colorado. Regardless, I consider myself a Coloradoan (although I was born in Kansas City, Missouri). Despite my love for Colorado, I headed east for college attending Denison University in Granville, Ohio where I graduated cum laude in 2002 with a bachelor’s degree in Communication and a minor in Political Science. I currently work as a PR professional for BMC Software, a large enterprise management software vendor headquartered in Houston, Texas.

Swimming was an enormous part of my life through college. Since I was five years old, I have been swimming on teams and competing with some success. I competed nationally for 10 years with ACES Swim Club, in high school for Littleton High School, and ultimately in college at Denison University (NCAA). My proudest accomplishments were earning two NCAA All-American honors and four NCAA Academic All-American honors while at Denison.

My parents, Tom and Faye Walker, live in Centennial, Colorado. They have been wonderful, supportive parents throughout the years and I am so grateful for all that they have given me. I can honestly say that they have been the two most influential people and in my life and couldn’t be more proud to call them my parents. Thanks for everything mom and dad! :)

As a family, we are so excited to welcome the McFarland’s into our lives as they are truly genuine and wonderful people – especially evidenced by their son, Chris!
